European Institute for Innovation & Technology in Health together with sTARTUp Lab introducing innovative and solution-driven e-lab programme - Smart-Up Lab
What is Smart-Up Lab?
Smart-Up Lab is supporting learners to address real healthcare issues that can encourage an innovative mindset. Smart-Up Lab uses this approach to spread a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Smart-Up Lab confronts students at three European locations with challenges posed by members of the healthcare industry. The course supports development of individual solutions while it spreads a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship by establishing a strong E-Lab consortium between EIT Health academic partners in Łódź, Poland, Naples, Italy and Tartu, Estonia.
The aim of this programme is to create a pan-European society with an entrepreneurial mind-set that involves citizens in improving healthcare systems locally and on the European level.
In this programme participants will learn about ideation processes, business planning, entrepreneurship, value creation, market research, pitching, startup financial and legal aspects and product presentation – while they develop skills connected with business creation. They will be led through the process, including receiving help form Law firm LMPwith decisions about intellectual property protection and future commercialisation.
During the programme, project teams will develop their ideas and products under dedicated mentoring. Participants are invited to learn through immersion and hands-on experience with real life challenges.
- Excellent opportunity to learn the skills required for starting your company in a field of healthcare!
- Access to an international set of mentors and trainers throughout the programme to get feedback for your health tech idea!
