How student teams can reach to sTARTUp Day Pitching Stage

New season means new beginnings! As sTARTUp Day is the most innovative festival in Estonia, we aim to keep our festival fresh. We are expecting 4000 guests and over 100 world-class speakers; we are bringing you 4 stages, a demo area, a special day for side events and tons of startup vibe. However, one thing that will always stay the same is the very, very strong program.

How to get on the stage?

The program features inspirational presentations of achieving success, failing and moving forward from it, exciting experience stories and business ideas presentations two days in a row on Pitching Stage! UT sTARTUp will also bring the Kaleidoskoop competition with ten best ideas to the sTARTUp Day stage.

But how to reach on the Kaleidoskoop stage to present your business idea?

1. Come to Idea Hackathon on 26th September to join a team or test your idea.

2. Develop your idea through STARTERtartu workshops - The more detail you validate your idea, the more successful you will be in answering juge's questions.

3. Participate in the Kaleidoskoop Pre-selection round and reach to top 10 teams. By the way Pre-selection is open to all student teams.

4. You've made it! Now you can perform on sTARTUp Day Pitching Stage.

If you're doing very well, your idea may be chosen to represent Tartu in the all-Estonina STARTER pitching finals on the same day. And if you win it, you'll be back on stage the same day to present your business idea on sTARTUp Day main stage. By the way, 2 years ago Decomer Technology had that amazing experience.

About the festival

Similarly, to previous years, the organizers are focused on creating a strong festival program and bringing interesting world-class speakers Tartu. One of the speakers is Laura Dekker from the Netherlands who is the youngest person ever to sail around the world. Also Keith Siilats, the CTO & Co-Founder of Bolt Mobility who was part of the scandalous Fyre Festival. Altogether, sTARTUp Day has over 100 speakers! The program includes inspirational stories about success, breathtaking experiences, failure and how to overcome failure. From zero to hero, right!

4 months to go until the festival! The smartest thing to do right now is to be an early adapter and buy the ticket before the price goes up! The ticket includes a 3-day festival pass, networking, seminars, side events, after party, and everything you are willing to receive from this experience. Remember – the more you are willing to go out of your comfort zone, the more you’ll get!
