Pitching is a good way to draw attention to your idea, attract investors and put yourself to the test. In addition, it helps to develop your public speaking skills, and a great pitch can bring success!
In this workshop, Gleb Maltsev, one of the best pitching trainers in the startup world, talks about the basics of pitching and gives good advice on how to present a business idea and leave a memorable impression. This workshop is co-organized with Tartu Science Park. The event takes place at UT Delta Centre Room 1037.
Participants will practice pitching with a natural voice and intonation, design a pitch, practice it and get feedback! The workshop is also a good preparation for Kaleidoskoop.
Why is this important? If you haven't practiced pitching out loud before, you don't know exactly how it feels.
Gleb Maltsev is a Data-Driven Pitch Coach and listens to around 1000 speeches a year ranging from a 60-second pitch to a 45-minute keynote. He’s trained presenters for industry-wide pitching showcases such as Slush, Latitude59, TechChill and LOGIN. He’s the co-founder of Fundwise, a founder-to-investor pitching platform with a 72% success rate and raising over 2.3 mln EUR for over a dozen projects. He is a pitching coach at Tehnopol, Superangel, and Startup Wize Guys. Every year he works with executives from almost every industry that would make the world a bit better. Around a 100 of those execs have gone on to pitch at trade fairs such as the Mobile World Congress, Smart City Expo, conhIT, boot Düsseldorf, Bygg Reis Deg, or BAU.
The workshop is held in English and free for everyone, but for reserving a seat and snacks please register before the event.
The event is funded by the European Social Fund. This workshop is a part of STARTERtartu and S2B Launchpad by Tartu Science Park incubation program.
