Kaleidoskoop Pre-selection and Finals @ UT Delta Economics Conference

Kaleidoskoop is the biggest students’ business and project ideas competition in South-Estonia, taking place for the 12th time already! STARTER  teams will participate in the competition among other student teams! Kaleidoskoop takes place at UT Delta Economics Conference on May 17 at 17.25 at Dorpat Conference Center.


Pre-selection
is open for everyone! If you have a business idea register your team by submitting the form. 10 teams to the finals are selected by May 15th.  They will step on the stage to pitch!

Requirements to the final pitch:
  • 50% of the team members should be students from universities, vocational or general education schools.
  • All the teams have 3 minutes for a pitch. 
  • The teams will have 4 minutes for questions from the jury.
  • A perfect pitch would include the following information: team name, description of the problem, offered a solution, potential market, competition, business model, the competence of the team.
  • We suggest to pitch in English.
  • Up to 3 slides can be used. Send them to andres.vaher@ut.ee. Deadline for slides is May 15th. Slides need to be ppt file in size 16x9 and may not contain animations. If more than 3 slides are sent, organizers will select 3. Slide deck with team name is made by the IdeaLab 
  • Team must be registered by submitting the form before 14th of May.  We have extended the registration until 14TH OF MAY!!

Judges:
  • Kuldar Leis- Kuldar is a former regional manager of Hoiupank, manager of Ösel Foods and Premia Foods, and is currently involved with ten companies. Kuldar's impressive experience has made him an outstanding personality at various entrepreneurial activities. At the moment, he is entrepreneurship advisor in Southeast Estonia.
  • Vaido Mikheim- Vaido is a business mentor with a long-time experience mentoring early-stage startups both in Estonia and internationally. Currently, he is working as a Project Manager at Tartu Science Park. -  https://www.linkedin.com/in/vaidomikheim/
  • Jüri Tarkpea- Experienced Chief Technologist with history in the computer software industry, product and service development and team building. Strong information technology professional skills in Entrepreneurship, Business Development, Telematics, Location Based Services, and Global Positioning System (GPS).
