Forge of Talents 2019 was Successful for Team MEDEA
Forge of talents is annual pitching competition for startups in the healthcare sector hosted by Centrum Innowacji i Transferu Technologii and it takes place at Medical University in Lodz. This year over 30 teams were there to pitch their ideas to top mentors and over 20 investors. We were glad to send there our Smart-Up Lab team MEDEA who is developing a medical device integrated with an alarm system that continuously measures owner’s heart rate and blood oxygen rate. They did very well, the jury praised their idea and gave great feedback as it is also seen in the picture of the scorecard.
“Thanks to UT Startup Lab, we had an amazing opportunity to take part in the Forge of Talents. In addition to being able to pitch in front of potential investors, we had the chance to consult with great mentors and get very helpful feedback from them. This competition was definitely a great opportunity for MEDEA, not to mention the pitching experience gained. We also met a lot of amazing people with the same purpose - striving to change the future of the health sector” said Sophio Japharidze from MEDEA.

UT Startup Lab proves that entrepreneurial education is possible online
Starter Tartu spring programme comes to an end with the spring semester. This semester was a challenge for both the Startup Lab and the students, because instead of physical meetings, all activities were organised online. Nevertheless, a large number of enterprising students completed the programme.
